Hanger shot
A hanger shot photographs a garment hanging on a hanger, usually against a plain wall — quick to produce and good for showing length.
Hanger shots are common for second-hand and independent shops because they need no mannequin or model. They show length and silhouette better than a flat-lay, but the hanger itself is visible.
Several marketplaces do not accept a visible hanger or mannequin in on-model images — Zalando is explicit about it — so a hanger shot is usually a source image, not a final one.
In Atelier Noir
A hanger shot is a valid input; the finished frame shows the garment worn, with no hanger in sight. Our automatic check flags any frame where a hanger or mannequin is still visible.
