AI image labelling
AI image labelling marks an image as AI-generated, visibly or in its metadata — for example the IPTC field DigitalSourceType = TrainedAlgorithmicMedia.

Google Merchant Center requires that all images created with generative AI carry this metadata. Zalando does not allow visible AI labels on images, but strongly recommends invisible marking in metadata from December 2026.
Metadata labels travel with the file and do not change how the image looks.
