AI fashion model

An AI fashion model is a computer-generated person used to show clothing in images or video; it does not correspond to a real individual.

Also called: AI model · virtual model · synthetic model

AI models let brands show garments on a range of faces, ages and body types without casting, booking or travel. They are generated, so there is no model release to manage — but the images should be labelled as AI-generated where platforms or laws require it.

Some brands also create a consistent ‘house model’ from a real person who has given written consent, so the same face appears across a whole catalogue.

In Atelier Noir

The Atelier Noir library has 86 AI models. A house model from a real person is possible only with that person's documented consent.
