Packshot
A packshot is a clean, neutral photo of a product on its own — usually on a white background — used as the main image on a product page.
Also called: product shot · cut-out
Packshots put the product first: no props, no scene, even light and accurate colour. Most marketplaces want the main image to be a packshot on a white or light background.
For clothing the packshot is often a flat-lay, a ghost-mannequin image or a hanger shot. Zalando, for example, asks for packshots on pure white (#FFFFFF) and on-model images on light grey or beige.
