On-model photography
On-model photography shows a garment worn by a person, so customers can judge fit, length, drape and proportion.
Also called: on-model images · model shots
Shoppers use on-model images to answer the questions a flat product photo cannot: where the hem falls, how the shoulder sits, how the fabric moves. Many marketplaces ask for at least one image of clothing worn by a person.
Traditional on-model shoots need models, a photographer, a location, styling and retouching, which is why they are usually reserved for bestsellers. AI tools now generate on-model images from a single product photo.
In Atelier Noir
This is the core of Atelier Noir: one product photo in, the same garment worn by one of 86 AI models in one of 160 sets out.
